Oishii: The Taste of Tea

The cinematic delicatessen from Japan will be served in the Oishii series presenting three feature films. Tetsuaki Matsue´s Live Tape (2009) is like a 74 minutes long music video, where folk singer Kenta Maeno leads the viewer through the streets of Tokio. Takeshi Kitano might be best known for his movies with graphic violence, but this time we show his lyrical A Scene at the Sea (1991). Katsuhito Ishii is the director of our third delicatessen: in The Taste of Tea (2004) the everyday problems of three generations reveals the eccentric beat of life itself. All films are subtitled in English!
